Controls / Building Automation Systems Project Manager

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Controls / Building Automation Systems Project Manager to join our team. As the Project Manager, you will lead and oversee controls and BAS projects, from concept to completion, ensuring successful implementation and client satisfaction. You will work closely with clients, engineers, and our internal teams to deliver cutting-edge building automation solutions.

Responsibilities:
 
  • Collaborate with clients and engineers to define project requirements and objectives.
  • Develop project plans, budgets, timelines, and resource allocation to ensure successful project execution.
  • Oversee all project phases, including design, installation, programming, commissioning, and closeout.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions to keep projects on track.
  • Lead and motivate project teams, including controls technicians, engineers, and subcontractors.
  • Provide clear direction, assign responsibilities, and manage project resources effectively.
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment, promoting professional growth and development.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Address client inquiries, provide project updates, and manage client expectations.
  • Identify opportunities for additional services and project expansions.
  • Ensure that controls and BAS systems are designed, installed, and programmed to meet project specifications and industry standards.
  • Conduct quality inspections and testing to validate system performance.
  • Implement and maintain robust quality control processes.
  • Develop and manage project budgets, tracking expenses and ensuring cost-effectiveness.
  • Review and approve project expenditures, change orders, and vendor invoices.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including project plans, specifications, drawings, and as-built documentation.
  • Provide regular project status reports to internal stakeholders and clients.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience as a Project Manager in the controls and building automation systems field.
  • Strong knowledge of building automation systems, control systems, and related technologies.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
  • Familiarity with industry standards, codes, and regulations.
