Construction Account Executive

Client is a leading mechanical contractor in Northern Illinois, servicing the Chicagoland area, Southeastern Wisconsin, and Northwest Indiana. With over 100 years of combined experience in mechanical construction and the service and maintenance of commercial and industrial HVAC systems, we offer a wide range of services to assist our customers on any project. Our mission is to provide excellent customer service and be the benchmark for mechanical contractors.

Responsibilities: As a Construction Sales Executive you will be responsible for:

  1. Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities with larger general contractors in the Midwest region.

  2. Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers in the Chicagoland General Contractors market, including project managers, and stakeholders within target accounts.

  3. Solution Selling: Understand client needs and articulate the benefits of our mechanical HVAC solutions, positioning our offerings as the preferred choice for construction projects.

  4. Sales Strategy: Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and increase market share.

  5. Market Analysis: Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments to inform business strategies and maintain a competitive edge.

  6. Proposal Development: Prepare and present compelling proposals, ensuring alignment with client requirements and project specifications.

  7. Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including engineering, project management, and customer support, to ensure seamless project execution and client satisfaction.

Qualifications:

  1. Proven Sales Experience: A track record of success in B2B sales, specifically in the construction industry with a focus on mechanical HVAC contracting.

  2. Technical Aptitude: Familiarity with mechanical systems, HVAC equipment, design, engineering and construction processes.

  3. Relationship Building: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to establish and nurture long-term client relationships

  4. Travel: Willingness to travel within the Chicago region

Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
