Overview:

Our Client , a self-performing design-build contractor known for going above and beyond is looking for a Senior Energy Engineer/Project Developer to join their California team! Their portfolio of in-house offerings allows you to solve customer issues creatively, and work with a full team of subject matter experts to handle each project through completion, with excellence.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Feasibility Analysis:

    • Collaborate with the business development team to assess the feasibility of design-build projects.
    • Conduct site assessments, research zoning requirements, and evaluate potential challenges and opportunities.
  2. Conceptual Design:

    • Develop and refine project design concepts, considering architectural, structural, and MEP (mechanical, electrical, plumbing) requirements.
    • Collaborate with architects and other design professionals to create innovative and cost-effective design solutions.
  3. Cost Estimation and Budgeting:

    • Prepare preliminary cost estimates for proposed design-build projects, considering materials, labor, and other relevant factors.
    • Contribute to the development of project budgets and financial models.
  4. Proposal Preparation:

    • Prepare comprehensive project proposals, including technical specifications, schedules, and budget details.
    • Present technical information to clients and stakeholders in a clear and compelling manner.
  5. Regulatory Compliance:

    • Stay informed about relevant building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
    • Ensure project plans comply with all applicable regulatory requirements.
  6. Collaboration and Coordination:

    • Collaborate with internal design and construction teams to ensure seamless communication and alignment of project goals.
    • Coordinate with external consultants, clients, and regulatory agencies to facilitate project development.
  7. Stakeholder Engagement:

    • Act as a primary point of contact for clients during the project development phase, addressing their needs and ensuring satisfaction.
    • Communicate project milestones, updates, and challenges to stakeholders.
Education & Qualifications: 
  • BSME, PE, CEM preferred
  • Ability to travel within the state of California
