Building Automation Controls Sales Representative

Overview:

Our client, a rapidly growing mechanical/controls contractor is looking for a Building Automation Controls Sales Representative in the El Paso market.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Prospecting and Lead Generation:

    • Identify and target potential clients through market research, networking, and industry events.
    • Generate leads through cold calling, referrals, and other proactive methods.
  2. Client Engagement:

    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, including facility managers, building owners, and contractors.
    • Conduct thorough needs assessments to understand clients' requirements and challenges.
  3. Solution Selling:

    • Present and demonstrate our clients building automation products and services to clients.
      • Experience with Siemens, JCI, Delta, KMC is a plus but not a requirement. 
    • Develop customized solutions that address clients' specific needs and contribute to energy efficiency and sustainability goals.
  4. Quoting and Proposal Development:

    • Prepare accurate and competitive project proposals.
    • Work closely with the internal technical team to ensure proposals align with clients' expectations and project specifications.
  5. Negotiation and Closing:

    • Negotiate contracts and terms to secure profitable business deals.
    • Close sales and achieve revenue targets within assigned territories.
  6. Market Intelligence:

    • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies.
    • Provide feedback to the management team regarding market conditions and customer needs.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in outside sales, preferably in the building automation, HVAC, or related industry.
  • Strong understanding of building automation systems and technologies.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Self-motivated with a results-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field (preferred).
