Overview:

This role supports our client's ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) business units. As a Controller, you will have the ability to oversee daily accounting operations, including the accounting, payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable departments.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Financial Reporting:

    • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
    • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
    • Provide accurate and timely financial information to support decision-making.
  2. Budgeting and Forecasting:

    • Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes.
    • Work closely with department heads to develop and monitor budgets.
    • Provide insights and analysis on financial performance against budgets.
  3. Cash Flow Management:

    • Manage cash flow to optimize liquidity and support operational needs.
    • Implement effective cash management strategies and forecasting.
  4. Internal Controls:

    • Develop and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets.
    • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with established policies and procedures.
  5. Team Leadership:

    • Supervise and mentor finance team members.
    • Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
  6. Financial Strategy:

    • Collaborate with executive leadership to develop and execute financial strategies.
    • Identify opportunities for cost savings and operational efficiencies.
  7. Audit and Tax Compliance:

    • Coordinate external audits and work closely with auditors.
    • Ensure compliance with all tax regulations and filings.

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
    • CPA required
    • CCIFP certification preferred.
  • 10 + years of progressive experience in a controller or similar role.
  • Thorough understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
  • Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Experience with ERP systems and financial software
