Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Architect with specialized experience in designing educational facilities for K-12 schools, universities, and incorporating renewable energy solutions into architectural projects. Within this role, you'd be responsible for leading the design and development of sustainable, innovative, and functional spaces that promote learning, collaboration, and environmental stewardship.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with educational institutions, school districts, and university stakeholders to understand their unique requirements, educational philosophies, and sustainability goals for architectural projects.
  • Lead the design and planning of K-12 schools, university buildings, and educational facilities, incorporating best practices in educational design, space utilization, and sustainability principles.
  • Integrate renewable energy systems, such as solar panels, wind turbines, and geothermal heating and cooling, into architectural designs to minimize environmental impact and reduce energy consumption.
  • Develop architectural concepts, schematic designs, and construction documents that align with project objectives, budgetary constraints, and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams, including engineers, landscape architects, and contractors, to ensure seamless project delivery from concept to completion.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance on sustainable design strategies, energy-efficient building systems, and renewable energy technologies.
  • Stay informed about emerging trends, innovations, and research in educational architecture and renewable energy, and incorporate relevant advancements into project proposals and designs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
  • Proven experience in architectural design and project management, with a focus on K-12 schools, universities, and sustainable design.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing successful projects in the education sector and expertise in renewable energy integration.
  • Proficiency in architectural design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, or similar tools.
  • Knowledge of sustainable design principles, green building certification programs (e.g., LEED), and renewable energy technologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and a passion for designing spaces that enhance learning and promote environmental sustainability.
