Project Development Engineer

Company Description
Our client is one of the largest mechanical contracting and energy services firms in the Northeast. This growing firm is looking for a talented Project Development Engineer to join their team. 

Project Development Engineer Essential Functions:
  • Conduct in-depth site surveys to identify system operating inefficiencies within a facility
  • Facilitate adequate communication among the internal team, sub-contractors, and customers
  • Assist with performing energy savings calculations, operational savings calculations and life cycle cost analysis of recommendations
  • Identify and work with subcontractors and consultants to provide technical analysis and descriptions for project installation and to ensure the quality of work delivered exceeds the requirements of the job
  • Support the sales teams by attending client meetings and presentations
  • Analyze and prepare conceptual and detailed bid documents, cost estimates, drawings, and specifications for energy efficient building technology and system measures
  • Provide engineering guidance throughout development, construction, project commissioning, and operations, including proposals, technical reports, cost estimates, and presentations
  • Demonstrate good leadership and communications to all
  • Provide quality customer service and follow-up to customers as needed
  • Other duties as assigned.

Project Development Engineer experience, technical skills & attributes:
  • Experience and knowledge in construction industry
  • Ability to work well with the sales and engineering teams to ensure complete and accurate solutions
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • An entrepreneurial spirit
  • Ability to set and manage priorities
  • Proficiency in operating Microsoft Office programs, Adobe, Bluebeam, etc.
  • Strong customer advocacy
  • Good organizational, analytical and problem solving ability
  • Detail oriented with the ability to multi-task
  • Energetic with a high sense of urgency
  • Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, preferred
  • FE Certification or PE preferred, but not mandatory
  • 3+ years of ESCO project development engineering experience preferred but not mandatory

Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

Position is full-time Monday - Friday
