Business Development Rep - Data Centers

A Business Development Representative (BDR) has previous sales training and technical background to drive sales results as a part of an Account Team. A Business Development Representative shall be responsible for collaborating with a senior Business Development Executive (BDE) to drive additional sales and account development as a part of the Account Team. The BDR will need to work independently and meet with assigned customer contacts to promote EE’s services and be responsible for sales within the assigned accounts. The BDR will earn a base salary and commissions based on the booked gross margin of projects sold.

RESPONSIBILITIES: 
 Collaborate as a part of an Account Team that includes a lead Business Development Executive (BDE) and Project Development engineers (PDs)
 Gain meetings with site managers and building engineers to develop long-term relationships
 Present & explain services, history, and value proposition with assigned site managers and building engineers
 Uncover opportunities for core services. Initial offerings include EC fan retrofit projects, break/fix inventory for HVAC fans and environmental sensors, cooling tower optimization, and emergency generator pre-heaters.
 Complete training on technical site evaluation for core services to complete site evaluation tasks and record information.
 Collaborate with PDs to finalize technical and financial details for core services proposals
 Develop and write proposals for core services, and present these proposals to site managers and building engineers
 Work with BDEs to present opportunities to financial decision makers and higher-level corporate executives
 Explain and confidently advocate for company pricing and value.
 Attend trade shows and arrange booth space for marketing and business development shows.


QUALIFICATIONS Required
 Bachelor’s degree.
 At least five (5) years in technical or solution-based sales.
 Completion of formal sales training program / discipline
 Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
 Orderly thinking and ability to prioritize and produce on concurrent projects.
 Desire to work in a performance-based, dynamic sales environment 
 Ability to travel up to 60% of the time (e.g. 3 days a week).
 Expertise in Microsoft Office applications, especially Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.
