Primary Purpose
This position oversees the design development and technical evaluation of electrical systems across multiple projects. It requires a deep understanding of electrical engineering design and the ability to solve complex technical issues. Responsibilities include preparing plans, drawings, calculations, equipment specifications, and engineering reports, as well as reviewing full project documents for compliance and quality. The role also involves evaluating the sustainable performance of complex engineering projects, identifying design requirements and constraints, and applying advanced expertise to resolve critical or unique challenges.

Manage engineering activities and mentor technical staff in sound engineering practices.
Stay current with industry trends, new technologies, and evaluate technical solutions, including cost-benefit and life-cycle analysis.
Plan and conduct work involving independent judgment, including standard and advanced techniques.
Direct teams to meet project financial goals, quality standards, and schedule milestones.
Lead project meetings to clarify scope, responsibilities, timelines, and expectations.
Execute design concepts, construction documents, engineering reports, and identify incentive opportunities to meet project objectives.
Ensure team adherence to project requirements, documentation standards, and construction oversight for project success.
Collaborate across departments on project execution, risk assessments, and cost-effective design solutions.
Lead technical efforts for business development, including cost estimates, proposals, contract administration, and billing.
Review and provide feedback on designs, ensuring compliance with applicable codes and standards.
Monitor project budgets, update costs, and track performance through reporting systems.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Valid driver’s license.
Willingness to travel up to 25% for job site visits, training, and meetings.
Authorization to work in the U.S.
Ability to pass pre-employment screenings.
Associate degree in Engineering or related field required; Bachelor’s degree preferred. Advanced degrees a plus.
10+ years of experience in building infrastructure and/or energy efficiency initiatives, with a proven track record.
Experience in project and team management required. Sales and marketing experience preferred.
Professional certifications (e.g., CEM, LEED AP, EIT, or PE) preferred.
Proficiency in planning, scheduling, and coordinating complex projects.
Strong communication and coordination skills across teams and clients.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other relevant tools.
Expert knowledge of applicable engineering codes and standards.
Strong understanding of design safety and environmental impact.
Deep technical knowledge of the engineering discipline and industry processes.
Strong communication and customer service skills.

This role includes both indoor and outdoor work settings. Standard office equipment is used regularly. Periods of high stress may occur.
