Job Title: Vice President of Service Location: MD, VA, DC, and PA Industry: Commercial HVAC
Position Summary:
A leading provider of innovative commercial HVAC solutions is seeking an experienced and dynamic Vice President of Service to lead its service operations across multiple markets, including Maryland, Virginia, Washington D.C., and Pennsylvania. This executive role will be responsible for driving profitable growth, ensuring operational excellence, expanding the customer base, and building a high-performing service organization aligned with a culture of safety, exceptional customer service, and accountability.
Key Responsibilities:
Full P&L responsibility for the service division, with expectations of consistent year-over-year growth.
Forecast and maintain appropriate staffing levels to meet customer and operational demands.
Develop and lead a highly capable service team through training and development programs that enhance technical expertise and customer engagement.
Expand and strengthen relationships with new and existing customers in collaboration with sales teams to drive revenue and long-term client satisfaction.
Collaborate with equipment sales teams to increase brand value and address service and fulfillment challenges.
Reinforce a high-performance culture focused on safety, customer satisfaction, and operational excellence.
Proactively manage customer relationships and resolve issues with transparency and continuous improvement practices.
Monitor and analyze key business metrics to identify performance gaps and implement effective solutions.
Oversee service contract management to ensure profitability and client retention.
Ensure field productivity goals, quality assurance, and service delivery standards are consistently met or exceeded.
Work cross-functionally with internal teams and business counterparts to drive growth, maintain profitability, and uphold a strong reputation for service excellence.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This role includes direct supervision of department leaders and service teams.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree / MBA preferred.
Demonstrated success in P&L management with a focus on growth and profitability.
Proven leadership and team-building skills with the ability to motivate and inspire high-performing teams.
Strong business development skills and customer relationship management capabilities.
Effective communicator with solid financial and operational acumen.
In-depth knowledge of HVAC products and commercial service operations; union environment experience preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and service management/financial software.
Master HVAC license in MD, DC, PA, WV, or VA is highly desirable.
