Responsible for leading business development and account growth across the building automation, energy management, and controls markets. This individual will manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to close, build strategic relationships with owners, consulting engineers, and contractors, and collaborate internally with operations and engineering to deliver best-in-class automation solutions.

Develop and execute the regional sales strategy to expand the client’s footprint in building automation and energy management markets.
Identify, qualify, and pursue new project opportunities across key verticals (healthcare, higher ed, commercial, manufacturing, etc.).
Manage the complete sales cycle — discovery, technical scoping, proposal development, pricing, negotiation, and contract closure.
Maintain and grow relationships with existing customers and channel partners to drive recurring business.
Collaborate with internal estimating, design, and operations teams to ensure accurate scoping and smooth handoff of projects.
Leverage CRM tools to track pipeline health, forecast revenue, and report sales performance metrics.
Represent the company at local and national industry events, conferences, and trade shows.
Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies in building automation and smart buildings.
Required:
10+ years of proven sales experience in building automation systems (BAS), HVAC controls, or energy management solutions.
Deep understanding of control system architectures, mechanical systems, and facility operations.
Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills with both technical and executive stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales targets in a solution-based environment.
Experience with CRM platforms and data-driven sales reporting.
Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently while collaborating cross-functionally.
Preferred:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or related technical field.
Prior experience with systems integration, controls contracting, or energy services companies.
Leadership or mentoring experience within a sales team.
