Senior Project Developer


A rapidly growing provider of energy solutions (ESCO) is looking for a Senior Project Developer to join our team. 
 
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
 
  • Lead and/or drive development of ESPC and other energy efficiency construction projects
  • Develop scopes, estimates and final proposals prior to submission
  • Develop/enhance processes & tools for project development
  • Coordinate with Energy Engineers to conduct comprehensive energy and water audits of commercial, institutional, and governmental customers
  • Identify and develop cost savings opportunities and capital upgrades relating to lighting, mechanical and electrical systems, energy management systems, water consuming equipment and fixtures, and building envelope
  • Prepare detailed scopes of work for the opportunities to obtain accurate subcontractor pricing
  • Prepare of budgetary cost estimates and preparation of technical reports
  • Provide technical development assistance to solutions sales reps
  • Assist in all stages of the development process through technical presentations of the proposed projects   
  • Lead development of financial proformas and assist in developing financial deal structure
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
  • 7+ years of experience in ESPC (Energy Service Performance Contracting)
  • Has Energy Industry knowledge in developing energy conservation or displacement projects such as Cogeneration, Demand Side Management, Supply Side Management or HVAC energy reduction projects
  • Must have experience in energy auditing
  • Professional engineering registration preferred, CEM also preferred
  • Design and construction experience a plus
  • Experience with measurement and verification of savings for performance contracts
  • Project cost accounting and estimating experience a plus
  • Must have strong writing and oral communications skills
  • 25% travel within the State
