Site Superintendent

Overview:

Our client is an established facility solutions-based construction and engineering firm and is currently seeking a Site Superintendent to support their growing team within the Philadelphia market. 

Responsibilities:

  1. Project Management:

    • Lead and supervise all on-site construction activities, ensuring compliance with project specifications, schedules, and budgetary constraints.
    • Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to facilitate seamless communication and coordination.
  2. Schedule and Resource Management:

    • Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring timely completion of milestones and overall project delivery.
    • Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to allocate resources effectively.
  3. Quality Control:

    • Implement and enforce quality control measures to ensure that work meets or exceeds industry standards and client expectations.
    • Conduct regular inspections to identify and address any construction deficiencies promptly.
  4. Safety Oversight:

    • Prioritize and enforce strict adherence to safety protocols and regulations on the construction site.
    • Conduct safety meetings, inspections, and implement corrective actions as needed to maintain a safe working environment.
  5. Team Leadership:

    • Supervise and motivate on-site construction teams, including subcontractors and laborers.
    • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, resolving conflicts and ensuring effective communication.
  6. Client Communication:

    • Maintain regular communication with clients, providing updates on project progress and addressing any concerns or changes in scope.
    • Ensure client satisfaction through the delivery of high-quality work and excellent customer service.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Site Superintendent in the construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety regulations.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Effective leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • OSHA 30 certification is a plus.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
