Project Manager (Remote w/Travel)

Summary

The Project Manager II supports the planning and delivery of data center, telecom efficiency, and industrial projects within active facilities. This role coordinates field teams, contractors, and internal partners to keep schedules, budgets, and documentation on track while ensuring safe, compliant, and high-quality execution.


Key Responsibilities

  • Support the handoff of projects from sales through planning and mobilization.

  • Coordinate schedules, milestones, and deliverables with Field Operations and project stakeholders.

  • Assist in ensuring compliance with national, state, and local construction and design standards.

  • Monitor project budgets, invoices, and financial processes.

  • Maintain accurate documentation and prepare required reporting materials.

  • Support forecasting, expense tracking, and quality control efforts.

  • Assist with permitting by coordinating with internal teams, contractors, and regulatory agencies.

  • Reinforce safety protocols and promote a culture of safe practices across project sites.

  • Build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Provide timely updates on project status, risks, and issues.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field preferred.

  • 5+ years of experience managing mechanical, electrical, or energy-efficiency projects.

  • CAPM certification or PMP-in-progress preferred.

  • Knowledge of HVAC, energy-retrofit, or controls-driven projects.

  • Understanding of MEP systems, construction sequencing, and construction drawings.

  • Experience with project management or construction software (e.g., Procore).

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project and Microsoft Office.

  • Ability to travel up to 10% and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
