MEP Department Manager

Established forward-thinking Engineering firm headquartered in Cherry Hill, New Jersey is seeking a MEP Department Leader to utilize their expertise to oversee and lead the MEP discipline within our office. We need a dynamic leader who can foster excellence, innovation, and efficiency within the department.

We need a dynamic leader who can foster excellence, innovation, and efficiency within the department.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience leading all disciplines within MEP discipline
- Provide technical guidance and expertise to the MEP team
- Create and implement plans for department growth and improvement, including workflow processes and internal/external communications
- Build and maintain strong client relationships
- Extensive knowledge of HVAC, Electrical, Fire Protection, Plumbing, and sustainability practices
- Understand construction plan documentation including architectural, structural, and MEP systems
- Preparation of construction documents including drawings, specifications, calculations, and details
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to take projects from inception to completion
- Skilled in design and calculation software
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:
- BS in Mechanical engineering or equivalent degree/experience required
- Professional Engineering licensure required
- At least 10+ years of experience in MEP design, engineering, and project management
- At least 5+ years of experience in a leadership position
