The Director of Marketing will lead marketing strategy and execution for a growing professional services organization serving public sector and education markets. This role is highly hands-on and plays a critical role in proposal development, brand positioning, events, and sales enablement.
The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker who excels at execution, understands RFQs/RFPs, and is comfortable operating as a player–coach in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
Lead and support RFQ/RFP and proposal development across all service offerings
Develop and maintain proposal templates, case studies, resumes, and pursuit materials
Manage website content, social media presence, and digital communications
Produce and distribute a bi-monthly marketing newsletter
Plan and manage conference participation, including booth design and sponsorships
Coordinate event invitations, RSVP tracking, and post-event follow-up
Collect and develop customer testimonials and marketing video content
Collaborate closely with sales leadership and executive leadership
Manage external marketing vendors and creative partners
Oversee and manage a defined annual marketing budget
Serve as a player–coach, mentoring and developing one direct report
Establish scalable marketing systems, tools, and workflows
Lead the continued evolution of the marketing function as the organization grows
8+ years of marketing experience, preferably in professional services
Demonstrated experience with RFQs/RFPs and proposal development (required)
Experience in construction, AEC, public sector, or education markets preferred
Exceptional writing, editing, and content development skills
Strong project management and organizational capabilities
Ability to oversee and ensure quality of design, video, and digital content
High attention to detail with a strong commitment to quality and consistency
Comfortable working with senior executives and cross-functional sales teams
