Woodridge, ILKey Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on boiler systems to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues in boiler equipment.
- Install new boiler systems and related components according to manufacturer specifications and safety standards.
- Conduct pressure tests and other evaluations to ensure the integrity of boiler systems.
- Maintain accurate records of service calls, repairs, and maintenance performed.
- Communicate effectively with clients to explain service procedures and recommendations.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while on the job.
- Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in HVAC or related field preferred.
- Valid HVAC, boiler, or similar license/certification.
- Proven experience as a boiler technician or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of boiler systems, components, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Familiarity with safety and environmental regulations related to boiler operation.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment (up to [insert weight]) and work in confined spaces.
