Primary Responsibilities Manage all aspects of an investment grade lighting audit. This includes:
Collect relevant information about facilities to be audited
Access all areas of a facility and:
Identify and catalogue all lighting equipment, wiring, components, existing controls, mounting hardware, mounting height, ceiling height, room dimensions, existing light levels, and installation conditions
Sketch layouts of existing lighting system
Digitally record, photo and video, existing site conditions to allow estimators to properly quote installation costs
Other responsibilities Though the primary purpose of this role is to perform on-site surveys, other tasks may include:
Aiding in mechanical surveys
Data entry
Applying for utility and tax incentives
Preparing PowerPoints and other material for customers
Analyzing utility data
The ideal candidate An energy auditor should be equally comfortable working onsite in an industrial setting as well as in a modern office environment. They must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and quickly adapt to changing directives and job demands based on customer needs. This is a job for somebody who can be versatile and comfortable in several roles. Though the primary responsibility will be to perform energy audits, the nature of a quickly growing and changing organization dictates that everyone must be willing and able to help in roles they may not be familiar with. Though some relevant experience is preferred, the company is willing to train someone with a solid foundation in education and transferrable skills.
