Design Build - Sales Executive

OVERVIEW


The Design Build Sales Professional is responsible for securing both negotiated sales and invitation-to-bid sales, with a focus on incorporating design or design-assist elements into the sales process. This individual will be expected to achieve personal sales targets and meet the annual growth rate objectives set by management. Sales efforts will be directed towards end users, construction managers, developers, and building operators.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Initiate new prospects for our design-build offerings.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to meet established sales goals and ensure optimal performance.
- Lead the entire sales process, from initial contract discussions to successful deal closure and booking.
- Build and maintain key customer relationships, leveraging these connections to acquire positive references and generate additional design-build sales.
- Maximize sales by consistently engaging with well-established customers, maintaining strong relationships, and identifying new market opportunities.
- Maintain an ongoing sales funnel, regularly updating it as directed by management.
- Collaborate with operations, including designers, project managers, and specialists, as resources in the sales process.
- Actively participate in industry-related organizations and market associations relevant to the primary sales focus.
- Work in a team environment alongside managers, sales, estimating, design/CAD, construction, and service personnel to promote and drive business for all of Danforth's offerings.


QUALIFICATIONS & TRAINING
 
  • BS/BA in related discipline or demonstrated industry experience is highly desirable, and certification may be required in some areas
  • Strong technical knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and other mechanical systems.
  • Typically, 5 – 8 years’ of successful experience in executive level selling
  • Ability to manage complex sales that include financial, political, technical and procurement strategies
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and staff to create results driven, team oriented environment
