Job Title: Architectural Acoustic Consultant
Location: Los Angeles Metropolitan Area
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Architectural Acoustic Consultant to join our dynamic team in the Los Angeles metropolitan area. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of professional experience in acoustic consulting, with a focus on architectural and environmental acoustics. You will collaborate with architects, engineers, and project stakeholders to design innovative, sound-sensitive environments that meet aesthetic and functional goals.
Key Responsibilities:
•    Design and optimize acoustic environments for a variety of spaces, including educational facilities, media production spaces, and performing arts venues.
•    Conduct acoustic measurements, modeling, and simulations using industry-standard tools and software.
•    Provide detailed acoustic analysis and prepare comprehensive reports and recommendations for clients.
•    Collaborate with architects and engineers to integrate acoustic solutions into overall project designs.
•    Stay informed about local building codes, regulations, and standards related to acoustics and noise control.
•    Manage project timelines, budgets, and deliverables while maintaining client satisfaction.
•    Conduct site visits and oversee the implementation of acoustic solutions during construction phases.
•    Provide technical expertise related to noise control, sound isolation, room acoustics, HVAC noise and vibration control, and environmental noise assessments.
Qualifications:
•    Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Acoustics, Architectural Engineering, or a related field.
•    A minimum of 5 years of experience in acoustic consulting, with a proven track record of successfully completed projects.
•    Proficiency in acoustic modeling software 
•    Strong knowledge of soundproofing, vibration isolation, and noise control techniques.
•    Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex concepts to non-technical audiences.
•    Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment.
•    Experience with the use of sound and vibration test equipment 
Preferred Qualifications:
•    Experience with projects in the Los Angeles metropolitan area and familiarity with regional design practices.
•    Background in working with LEED-accredited projects and sustainable building practices.
