Business Development Manager - Mechanical Systems

Business Development Manager - 
The BDM is charged with enhancing/expanding current client accounts and with developing new business relationships and opportunities. This person is tasked with working with potential and/or current clients to develop opportunities within the mechanical/energy efficiency, alternative energy and design-build realms to best benefit our clients. 

Responsibilities - 
 Responsible for establishing and developing relationships with new clientele
 Responsible for enhancing and maintaining relationships with existing clientele
 Create project work plans and utilize CRM software to improve, monitor and track client relationships. Contact and engage with clients through intentional use of company resources
 Develop and build strategic sales funnel to meet/exceed annual sales targets.
 Develop sales and marketing plan locally and support regional goals and expectations.
 Pursue all opportunities in an assigned territory for the design, installation, service and repair of targeted opportunities to win new business or expand current awarded opportunities
 Research and attend HVAC and mechanical conferences.
 Contribute to company marketing initiatives and activities such as advertising, proposal development, marketing literature, conferences, website design, etc.
 Consult with clients after award to resolve problems and to provide ongoing customer support.
 Monitor market conditions, product innovations, and competitors’ products, prices and sales.
 Ability to negotiate contracts and produce agreements, present materials and close sales.
 Produce and distribute marketing materials. Develop client presentations.
 Ability to provide/assist with job estimates and lead RFP/RFQ efforts
 Produce weekly updates on project opportunities and progress.
 Prepares and participates in regular construction and service meetings.
 Identify prospective customers by using business directories, following leads from existing clients, participating in organizations and clubs, and attending trade shows and conferences.
 Demonstrate and maintain high moral character, standards and confidentiality at all times.
 Ability to project manage smaller projects during initial corporate growth plan is a plus

Qualifications - 
Minimum 5 years’ experience in construction or mechanical industry.
 Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services which includes marketing strategy and tactics, product demonstration, sales techniques, and sales control system.
 Excellent problem solving, customer service and communication/interpersonal skills; proficiency with PCs, flexibility and the ability to work effectively with all levels of staff
