Position Title: Estimator
Location: Milton, FL
Position Description:

• Review project specifications, plans, and documentation to understand project requirements.
• Conduct on-site visits to assess existing HVAC systems and gather necessary information for accurate estimates.
• Accurately estimate the building of HVAC projects including the cost, materials, and labor required.
• Prepare, submit & maintain a log of comprehensive and competitive bid proposals based on project specifications.
• Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to analyze project needs, timelines, and budget constraints.
• Evaluate subcontractor bids and negotiate pricing to ensure cost-effectiveness.
• Maintain a database of supplier and subcontractor contacts and cost history for future estimating needs.
• Keep up-to-date with industry trends, new technologies, and materials to ensure accurate and competitive estimates.
• Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits to gather additional information and answer any questions from potential clients.
• Collaborate with sales and project management teams to review and analyze completed projects for accuracy and cost-effectiveness.

Position Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in related field or experience equivalent
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the HVAC industry with a proven track record.
• In-depth knowledge of HVAC systems, installation techniques, and industry standards.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams, clients, and stakeholders.
• Proficient in estimating and project management software, scheduling tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to interpret project specifications, plans, and technical drawings.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities to resolve issues and mitigate project risks.
• Deadline and detail-oriented.
