Overview:
This leading organization, known for creating Energy Management and Building Automation/Controls solutions, is looking for a Business Development Manager in the Chicagoland area. In this entrepreneurial firm- you are given the resources (without red tape) and the autonomy to provide solutions for end users in the: Healthcare, Data Center, Mission Critical, Municipal, Commercial and Industrial spaces.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop new construction projects with new and existing clients
- Strong desire to hunt for new customers and be out in front of customers regularly, and the ability to manage existing relationships
- Develop a pipeline of future sales opportunities
- Coordinate cost estimates on project consultations / work with assigned support staff
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or technical degree in an appropriate field preferred not required
- At a minimum, 2+ years of professional sales service experience
- Strong communication skills
- Prior experience creating sales proposals, quotes, and reviewing contracts
- Demonstrated sales success
- Exceptional skills in relationship management, communication, and problem solving
