Overview: Our client is an industry leading lighting manufacturer that is currently seeking a Strategic Account Sales Manager to join their team.
General Statement/Purpose of Job: This position will be responsible for creating brand awareness, developing specifications, and driving revenue within organizations that are not traditionally serviced though the Strategic Account Sales channels This group of customers include ESCOs, Lighting Maintenance Contractors, or other large customers.
This position will also support engineering, manufacturing, and marketing with information tailored to support the national account channel. This includes guidance on the product road map, marketing literature, and other initiatives to drive revenue.
Lastly, this position will also support M&A activities by evaluating brands and products while identifying sales synergies within the national account channel.
This position reports into the National Strategic Accounts Sales Manager and will be supported by the inside Strategic sales team as well as the existing service and manufacturing team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Work closely with customer base to build relationship and grow sales
Identify new customers to bring into the SAS team portfolio of customers.
Network with customers to identify and address specific needs
Assist customers in all aspects of the sales process from initial inquiry to after sales support.
Act as the liaison between customers and internal teams ensuring clients’ requirements are met
Collect and analyze sales data and trends
Stay up-to-date with internal and external developments and suggest new ways to increase sales
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Proven work experience as a Strategic Account Manager
Solid experience in sales and customer service
Demonstrable experience in negotiating and meeting clients’ requirements
In-depth understanding of the ESCO sales model
Hands on experience with CRM software and MS Office Suite
Excellent analytical and organizational skills
Strong communication skills
Ability to maintain existing customer relationships while continuously hunting for new customers and opportunities.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Sales, Business Administration or relevant field
Travel: Availability to travel as much as 75% of the time
Working Conditions: Work is primarily conducted in a home office environment and at customers locations across the country.
