The DFS technology is the most significant advancement in the IAQ industry in years and gives people total control of their indoor space. The firm prides itself on its research and development of new products, always on the leading edge of advanced air solutions.
This senior level role is responsible for leading our specification sales strategy for our engineered and applied products. This includes cultivating relationships with existing specification sales partners, driving awareness of products through key clients, and working in partnership with the Regional Sales Teams to maximize sales.
This is a fully remote position with the employee located in various locations throughout the US closest to key markets. Significant travel will be required based on partner location.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Drive the national strategy to grow sales of engineered solutions and the specification sales channel.
Identify and execute on key market opportunities, key client partnerships (Specification Reps, Consulting Engineers, Key End Users, etc)
Strategically drive awareness, demand, and sell products through presentations of solution offerings, customer prospecting, industry events, and client engagement.
Frequently report on progress, goals, and strategy to drive channel growth.
Develop a strategy and manage corporate relationships with national account channel partners.
Work collaboratively with existing channel partners and the sales team.
Become a subject matter expert and assisting prospecting, onboarding, and collaborating with channel partners (Specification Sales Representatives, Key Contractors, Consulting Engineers)
Provide technical support for products.
Assure the accuracy and completeness of all drawings, files, engineering records, prints, and tasks of assigned projects
Perform root cause analysis and work toward resolution
Complete special projects as required (i.e. Engineering, Marketing, Pricing, Training related projects)
Achieve sales metrics and track activities, opportunities pipeline, and quotations through a CRM tool.
Job Skills Requirements:
Experience in multi-channel sales management, product application, and collaboration with specification representatives, consulting engineers, and architects.
Experience in representation contracts and territory management.
Advanced math, reading and computer skills (Microsoft Office suite) are required
Strong technical, interpersonal and communication skills to interact with and motivate a diverse group of internal and external partners.
Experience in HVAC applied products and IAQ industry – product, systems, and go-to-market channels
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, business, marketing, related field, or equivalent experience
Strong technical skills, communication skills and problem-solving skills
Strong interest in technical sales and marketing
Minimum of 5 years of HVAC B2B Sales Experience
Corporate Level Relationship experience in the applied product space (Mechanical, Electrical, Facilities, Energy, etc.)
Detailed knowledge and experience within multi-location corporate clients.
Advanced knowledge of the IAQ market and companies that would be viable customers.
Work is performed in an office, manufacturing & warehouse environment. Work hours will generally be during regular business hours 8-5 however, there will be some variation in work hours due to schedules, special projects, deadlines, and other business needs.
