Job Description: The Lighting Solutions Sales Executive is responsible for driving sales growth by promoting energy efficiency products and services and those of our trusted Channel Partners. This role requires a strong understanding of energy efficiency practices, the lighting and controls industry, solution selling, excellent sales skills, and the ability to build and maintain lasting client relationships.

Key Responsibilities:
 
  • Develops new business by identifying new accounts, analyzing account potential, initiating, developing, and closing sales. Recommends new applications and sales strategies to enhance pipeline growth and diversification.
  • Identifies potential in accounts by studying current business, interviewing key customer personnel and company personnel who have worked with customer, identifying and evaluating additional needs, and analyzing opportunities.
  • Initiates sales process by building relationships, qualifying potential building trust and confidence in our client’s value proposition.
  • Develops sales by making initial presentations, explaining product and service enhancements and additions, and introducing new products and services by our client and our Channel Partners.
  • Assists in new application and solution development by conferring with solutions engineering,
  • Contributes information to sales strategies by evaluating current product results, identifying needs to be filled, monitoring competitive products, and analyzing and relaying customer reactions.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.
  • Enhances the organization’s reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests, exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments, and holding themselves and the organization accountable for delivering exceptional customer experience every time.








Desired Skillset

Reporting and Analysis:
  • Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts.
  • Analyze sales data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement strategies to achieve sales targets.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
Market and Product Knowledge:
  • Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices in energy efficiency.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of our energy efficiency products and services.
  • Educate clients on the benefits and cost savings of energy-efficient solutions.

Education and Experience Requirements:
 
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree with a concentration in marketing, promotions, advertising sales, or business administration preferred
  • Lighting and energy efficiency Industry experience is required.
  • 5+ years sales experience exceeding quotas
  • Stable employment history
 
Compensation and Benefits:
 
  • Base Salary based on experience and client base
  • Benefits package – PTO , Medical, 401K, competitive sales commissions plan
  • This is a remote based position and may require up to 70% travel
