To help us continue to maximize our impact globally, we’re seeking an experienced Sr. Director of Operations to join our team. The role requires outstanding organizational, communication, and leadership skills and an ability to develop innovative solutions that push boundaries. The Sr. Director of Operations will work closely with the Executive Director to strategize and develop long-term plans that ensure we usher in new levels of productivity and success for the company.
Objectives of this role
Oversee, implement, and evaluate operation processes and procedures to align with company strategic plan, Vision and Mission.
Work with Team Leads to set SMART goals and evaluate performance
Develop strategies to enhance all units of operations.
Maximize efficiency and productivity through process analysis and interdepartmental collaboration
Work with Team Leads in the development of financial and budgetary plans
Analyze current operational processes and performance, recommending solutions for improvement where necessary
Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and monitor day-to-day operational systems and processes to provide visibility into the goals, progress, and obstacles of key initiatives
Draw on relationships with Team Leads and external partners to make decisions regarding operational activity and strategic goals
Plan, monitor, and analyze key metrics for day-to-day operations to ensure efficient and timely completion of tasks
Devise strategies for ensuring the growth of programs globally, and implement process improvements to maximize output and minimize costs
Work closely with Human Resources to lead the team with integrity and to establish and maintain a trusting, inclusive, and productive environment
Key skills and qualifications
Ten or more years in a leadership role in operations in energy or a related field
Masterful organizational, communication, and leadership skills, backed by previous professional success
Experience working with global stakeholders, including delivery of products and services
Superior knowledge of multiple operational functions and principles, including finance, customer service, information technology, and human resources
Proven ability to plan and manage operational processes for maximum efficiency and productivity
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in business administration or related field
Experience in developing budgets and business plans
