Overview:
Our client is a rapidly growing systems integration and building technologies company. They are currently seeking a Fire Security/ Fire Safety Sales Engineer to be responsible for a solid understanding of building controls, special systems, and the mechanical and electrical systems in buildings.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Actively call on contractors and consultants to increase company profile
- Develop strategic proposals for bid pricing and estimating for projects
- Provides timely, accurate, competitive pricing on all completed prospect applications submitted for pricing and approval, while striving to maintain maximum profit margin
- Be aware of local and state codes that drive specific system and building configurations
- Work as a team leader
- Adheres to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes
Education Qualifications:
- Minimum of high school diploma desired.
Experience Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2-3 years of sales experience in the Security/Fire/Life/Safety marketplace
- An understanding of NFPA/NCIT and other related fire and life safety codes is beneficial.
- An understanding of basic computer systems including MS Office Suite of products.
- Proven track record of selling projects and service agreements is a major plus
- Willingness to develop selling skills on own time, which may include books, seminars or training classes
- High sense of urgency and accountability
- Trustworthy, with a high level of integrity
