Data Analyst

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Collection & Management:

    • Gather and organize large sets of data from various sources including project management software, financial systems, and on-site reports.
    • Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and consistency across systems.
    • Monitor and clean data to remove inaccuracies and ensure it is up to date.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting:

    • Analyze project performance data, including timelines, costs, resource utilization, and quality metrics.
    • Generate reports and dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as project progress, budget adherence, and workforce productivity.
    • Provide actionable insights to project managers, senior leaders, and other stakeholders for data-driven decision making.
  • Forecasting & Predictive Analysis:

    • Assist in forecasting project costs, timelines, and resource needs based on historical data.
    • Develop predictive models to identify potential risks, delays, or cost overruns.
    • Recommend strategies to mitigate risks and improve project outcomes based on data trends.
  • Collaboration & Support:

    • Work closely with project managers, finance teams, and senior leadership to support data-driven decision making.
    • Provide training and support for team members on data tools and best practices.
    • Help translate complex data into easy-to-understand reports and presentations.
  • Process Improvement:

    • Identify opportunities to improve data collection, reporting, and analysis processes.
    • Develop and implement strategies to streamline workflows and improve operational efficiency using data-driven insights.

Required Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Operations Management Systems, Economics, Construction Management, or a related field. 
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 3 years of experience in data analysis,  in the construction industry.
    • Strong understanding of construction project management processes, including budgeting, scheduling, union payroll and resource allocation.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Microsoft Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or other data visualization platforms.
    • Experience with project management software (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend, Buildops or similar).
    • Familiarity with database management systems (SQL, Access, etc.) and data extraction techniques.
    • Knowledge of statistical analysis and predictive modeling tools (e.g., R, Python) is a plus.
  • Communication Skills:
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex data in an understandable manner to stakeholders at all levels.
    • Experience working collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
