Commercial Roofing Sales Executive
Our client is building up their D.C. team and is seeking a true sales partner to their Sales Leader who has built the office from scratch. Position Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and professional individual to join our team and drive new business within the commercial roofing industry. The ideal candidate will work closely with clients to identify their roofing needs and provide tailored solutions. As one of the nation’s leading commercial roofing companies, we handle a wide range of projects, from maintenance and repairs to full-scale roof replacements. This role requires someone with strong sales acumen, a passion for building relationships, and a keen interest in commercial roofing.

Qualifications, Knowledge, and Skills:
To excel in this position, the individual should meet the following qualifications and demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed:

  • Fluent in a variety of computer software applications such as Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to establish and maintain relationships with clients, contractors, and internal teams.
  • Ability to prepare and deliver proposals, negotiate contracts, and close deals with customers.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to define client needs, present solutions, and ensure successful project execution.
  • Willingness to travel to client sites, attend job walks, and work with a diverse range of customers and property managers.
  • Experience in reading blueprints and specifications to assist in providing accurate quotes is a plus.
  • Previous experience in roofing or construction sales preferred, but a willingness to learn the trade is also valuable.

Requirements:

  • Must be a team player and open to continuous learning.
  • Strong negotiation and customer service skills.
  • Proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Knowledge of roofing systems and materials preferred, but not required—training will be provided.
  • Experience with CRM systems for managing client interactions and pipeline is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate new business by identifying potential clients, reaching out, and developing relationships within the commercial sector.
  • Conduct on-site assessments to identify roofing needs and prepare tailored proposals for clients.
  • Develop and present detailed and professional proposals, pricing, and contracts based on project specifications.
  • Work closely with estimators and project managers to ensure accurate scope and pricing.
  • Attend pre-bid and client meetings to review project details and scope of work.
  • Follow up on proposals and actively manage the sales pipeline to meet quarterly sales targets.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project life cycle, ensuring client satisfaction and long-term relationships.
  • Stay informed about the latest commercial roofing products, services, and industry trends.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth project handovers and communication with clients.
